You can't add a pharmacy visit inside the free Seoul Guided Walking Tour. The official FAQ describes it as a group program that isn't a private, customizable tour, and it doesn't offer to shorten the schedule (Seoul Guided Walking Tour FAQ, Visit Seoul, retrieved 2026-11-03). Book the course as a fixed block, then put any pharmacy stop in your own time before the meeting or after the tour ends.

The structure below is a suggested way to organize a day. The rules come from the operator's pages, which are linked in each section.

Book the course before planning anything around it

The official FAQ asks individuals to book at least three days ahead and groups at least five days ahead. It says tours open on the 15th of the preceding month, and the calendar for each course controls actual availability (Visit Seoul FAQ, retrieved 2026-11-03). Plan to book online. Don't plan to walk in.

The live reservation page sets a minimum of two participants. If fewer than two people have booked by 17:00 two days before the date, the program cancels automatically (Seoul guided walking reservation calendar, retrieved 2026-11-03). The same page shows course-specific caps, such as 20 for a palace course and 10 for other courses shown. Take the cap and language for your chosen course and date from that calendar. An older FAQ group-size figure may differ, and an open date on the calendar doesn't guarantee your booking will be accepted.

After booking, do these three things:

  • Save the confirmation and the cancellation instructions.
  • Check for an automatic-cancellation notice after 17:00 two days before.
  • Cancel at least one day ahead through the official service if your plans change, as the FAQ asks.

Count the costs the free commentary leaves out

The guiding is free. The FAQ notes that admission, experience and transport costs can be charged separately (Visit Seoul FAQ). Read your course page for any paid entries on the route, and budget your own transport to the meeting point and from the end point.

On weather, the FAQ says normal rain doesn't cancel a tour automatically, and extreme conditions may. Treat the operator's notification as the deciding word.

Put the pharmacy visit outside the tour

A guide leads a group on a set course. Asking for a shopping detour or an early exit runs against the FAQ's statement that the schedule isn't shortened. Reserve separate time instead.

The official course page lists the meeting place, and the course details describe where it ends. Read both before you choose a slot for anything else. This article doesn't estimate walking times between a tour's end point and any shop. Check a map app on the day.

If you want an in-person conversation with a pharmacist while in Seoul, PVRE Pharmacy runs under the official store name PURE PHARMACY. Its store page lists locations in Myeongdong (서울특별시 중구 명동8길 41) and Seongsu (서울특별시 성동구 성수이로20길 3), plus Jeju. It describes putting the pharmacist conversation first and offering health and beauty products to browse. The page lists no hours, stock or prices, so confirm those directly before you go.

Keep each question with the right authority

A pharmacist conversation covers general questions about medicines and health products. The tour guide's role is the course commentary, so don't ask a guide to arrange medical advice. For a diagnosis, see a doctor. For questions on bringing medicines through customs or onto a flight, check the customs authority and your airline. A pharmacy visit doesn't settle those questions.
