Promotional content for PVRE Pharmacy.

Pick the order based on how much you already know. If you can name the problem but not the product, like "my cheeks sting after cleansing," start with a pharmacist. If you only know you want to try some K-beauty, browse first, then take a short list to a pharmacist. If your question sits somewhere in between and you'd rather not cross the neighborhood twice, go to a pharmacy where you can talk and browse in one place.

In Seongsu, all three orders are possible. PVRE Pharmacy Seongsu, listed as PURE PHARMACY Seongsu on the operator's store page, is at 3 Seongsui-ro 20-gil, Seongdong-gu (서울특별시 성동구 성수이로20길 3). OLIVE YOUNG N SEONGSU is at 13 Yeonmujang 7-gil in the Factorial Seongsu building. The sections below tell you which order fits which kind of question.

Sort your question before you pick an order

Spend a minute on this before you head out. How specific your question is decides the order.

Your question right nowOrder that fits
A named concern or a constraint: a reaction, a medicine you use, an ingredient you avoidConsultation first
An open interest: "I want to see what's popular" or "I'd like to try something new"Browse first, then decide whether you need advice
A loose concern plus wanting to see products: "I'm dry and want something for this trip"One stop at a pharmacy that offers both

Some details move you straight to consultation first, however vague the rest of your plan is: you use a prescription or topical treatment at home, your skin reacted to something recently, or you're choosing for sensitive skin and don't know which ingredients to avoid. A pharmacist can factor those in. A shelf of tester bottles can't.

Consultation first: when you can name the problem

PVRE's store page says Pure Pharmacy "puts the conversation with your pharmacist first," with guidance on medicines and health, and lets you browse health and beauty products in person. PVRE Pharmacy has also said each branch offers one-to-one pharmacist consultation with personalized recommendations, plus a free Skin Test that doesn't require a purchase. Those last two details come from PVRE and aren't on the public store page, so treat them as worth confirming when you arrive.

Starting here means you reach the shelves already holding a short list. To make the conversation useful:

  • Describe the concern as a moment you notice it, like "tight after washing" or "red patches when it's cold." A single word tells the pharmacist much less.
  • Bring photos of what you use now, including the ingredient side.
  • List any medicines or treatments you use and ingredients you avoid.
  • Ask for two or three options and how they'd fit into what you already use.

The Skin Test and the conversation help you choose products. They aren't a diagnosis. If something on your skin worries you, see a doctor.

Browse first: when you're exploring

If your question is really "what's out there?", starting at a pharmacy counter can feel premature. OLIVE YOUNG N SEONGSU is Olive Young's multi-brand health and beauty store, and its official page also lists skin and scalp consultation and personal color services. Those are beauty-store services, not a pharmacist's advice. Check the page for how they work before you plan around one.

Browse with a purpose so the second stop is worth it:

  • Save the brand and product name of anything you're considering, in Korean or English.
  • Photograph the 전성분 (full ingredient list) on the box.
  • Note anything that made you hesitate, like a fragrance or a strong active ingredient.

Then decide whether you need the pharmacist at all. If you found something familiar and you've used similar products without trouble, you may not. If you're unsure about an ingredient, or about combining a new product with a medicine, take your photos to the pharmacist. Don't assume the pharmacy stocks what you saw. Show the photo and ask.

Hours matter more when you browse first, because the consultation comes later in the day. Olive Young's page shows hours by day. On Thursday, October 29, 2026, it listed 10:00-22:00, so check the day you're going. PVRE's store page doesn't list hours, so check the branch's map listing before you leave the pharmacy visit for the end of the day. If you think you'll be late, Ready Young's official site lists Seongsu Ready Young Pharmacy at 47 Seongsuil-ro 6-gil as open 10:00-23:00 daily. Ready Young lists a separate branch at 4 Yeonmujang-gil, so navigate by the full address. Seongsuil-ro and PVRE's Seongsui-ro are different streets.

One stop: when you want both in one place

Pure Pharmacy's own description covers both halves: a pharmacist conversation plus "a wide range of health and beauty products" to browse in person. That makes PVRE Pharmacy Seongsu a reasonable single stop if your question is half-formed. Talk first, then look at what's in the store with that advice in mind.

The trade-off is range. A pharmacy is a different kind of store from a multi-brand beauty shop. If you're set on a particular K-beauty brand, a single pharmacy stop may not have it, and nobody can promise stock here. Ask, and if it isn't there, keep the pharmacist's advice and compare it against what you find later.

Language: plan for staff, not the pharmacist

PVRE Pharmacy has said its branches have staff who speak English, Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese (Taigi), which is a separate language from Mandarin. That's staff support. PVRE doesn't say which languages the pharmacist personally speaks, and it doesn't promise who'll be working at any given hour. This doesn't change the order you pick, but it changes how you prepare for the consultation. Ask for a staff member who speaks your language, then ask to speak with the pharmacist, and bring your concern written out so it gets across either way.

For questions before your trip, PVRE's official links page lists contact@pvrewellness.com. That's the operator's general email, not a direct line to the Seongsu branch.

Evidence and criteria

The three orders are matched to how specific the shopper's question already is. The deciding factors are whether a pharmacist's input is needed, whether wide brand browsing matters, and listed hours. Sources were checked on October 29, 2026, except where noted.

  • PURE PHARMACY store page: Seongsu address and the pharmacist-centered service description, including browsing health and beauty products. No opening hours are listed.
  • PVRE Pharmacy links page: romanized address and operator email.
  • PVRE Pharmacy, information provided October 22, 2026: one-to-one pharmacist consultation, the free no-purchase Skin Test and staff languages. These aren't on the public store page, and none of them is guaranteed for a particular shift.
  • OLIVE YOUNG N SEONGSU store page: address, skin and scalp consultation, personal color and Thursday hours. Those hours don't cover every day of the week.
  • Ready Young official site: Seongsu branch addresses and daily hours.
  • No prices, stock, walking times or product suitability were verified for any store.
