When it rains, decide from your hotel before you set out. Keep the plan if the weather source you trust looks manageable to you, your destination is confirmed open, and the route your map app works out from your actual starting point shows outdoor walking you're willing to do. Shorten it to a single destination if the purpose still matters but you'd rather spend less time outside. Postpone it if any of those checks fails, or if the trip was mostly for the walk rather than the shopping.
This guide doesn't set a rainfall level that counts as "too much." That's your call, based on a current forecast and your own comfort walking in the rain.
Five checks before you leave the hotel
Run through these in order. Each one can change your answer.
- Current weather, from your own source. Use a forecast or weather service you trust and look at it close to departure, not the night before. Note what it says for the hours you'd be out, not just right now.
- The exact destination address. Put the full street address, including the building number, into Naver Map, Kakao Map or Google Maps. A street name alone isn't enough.
- Current hours. Confirm them on the store's own page or its map listing for today. Don't rely on hours you saw for another day.
- Why you're going. Be clear about whether you need advice before buying or just want to browse. That decides which single destination is worth the trip (see below).
- Outdoor exposure on your route. Calculate the route from where you're actually staying. Its walking segments, transfers and suggested exit show how long you'd be outside.
If checks 2 and 3 can't be confirmed, postpone. Arriving wet at a closed door is the worst outcome of a rainy day.

If you're torn between keeping and shortening, shorten. One confirmed address, one purpose, then back to the hotel. Each extra stop in Seongsu means another trip outside, and nothing here measures how long those are.
Shortening to one stop: which one fits your purpose
Choose by what you need from the trip.
Go to PVRE Pharmacy Seongsu if you want a pharmacist's input before buying. The operator's official store page lists it as PURE PHARMACY Seongsu at 3 Seongsui-ro 20-gil, Seongdong-gu (성수이로20길 3), and the PVRE Pharmacy Linktree gives the same address in English. The page says Pure Pharmacy "puts the conversation with your pharmacist first," with guidance on medicines and health, and health and beauty products you can browse and choose from yourself. That's a general description, not a promise about any product or result.
PVRE also told us in October 2026 that it offers one-to-one pharmacist consultation with personalized recommendations, a free Skin Test with no purchase required, and staff who speak English, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese and Taiwanese (Taigi). Those points aren't on the current official store page. The Skin Test isn't a diagnosis, nothing confirms booking or wait times, and the person who speaks your language may not be the pharmacist on duty when you visit.
Go to OLIVE YOUNG N SEONGSU if you want to browse widely and choose for yourself. Olive Young's official store page lists it at 13 Yeonmujang 7-gil, Seongdong-gu, in the Factorial Seongsu building (연무장7길 13 팩토리얼 성수). It also lists skin and scalp consultation and personal color services. Those are beauty-store services, not a pharmacy consultation, and the page doesn't confirm booking, price or availability.
If you need both advice and browsing and the rain makes you want one trip only, choose the one that would change your purchase more. For most people with a specific skin concern, that's the conversation.
What the checked sources do and don't confirm
Your rain decision depends on facts this guide can only partly supply:
- PVRE hours aren't published on the official store page or the Linktree. The store page links to the branch on Naver Map and Google Maps, so confirm hours there on the day. You can also email the operator at contact@pvrewellness.com, but that's a general company address, not a promise of a quick reply from the branch.
- Olive Young hours are shown by day. On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the page showed 10:00-22:00. That's one day's listing and doesn't establish the rest of the week.
- Addresses only confirm where the stores are. They don't show indoor access, covered paths, walking time, distance, station exits or outdoor exposure. Your own route calculation answers those.
- Stock and prices aren't verified at either store. Before a rainy trip for one particular product, save its name and be ready to find it isn't there.
A rain-ready version of the trip
If you keep or shorten the plan, cut down what you'd otherwise need to do on your feet. Before you leave, write a short note with your skin concerns, current skincare, and any medicines or allergies, plus the names or photos of products you're curious about. That helps a pharmacist or store staff quickly, whatever language you share. Take an umbrella, save the destination address as a pin, and calculate the route back to the hotel before you head out, so you don't have to work it out in the rain.
