Use an hourly T-Locker if your bag fits a measured locker at a station you'll pass again before the subway closes. Use a T-Luggage reservation if you carry a suitcase, want a staffed center arrangement, or plan to send bags onward. Confirm the terms of the specific booking before you rely on it. The Seoul Metropolitan Government's subway storage page lists three separate products: T-Luggage storage and delivery, monthly T-Storage, and hourly T-Locker. Their rules differ, so check each one on its own terms.

Start with what you're carrying

A folded tote and a few purchases suit a self-service locker. A full suitcase may exceed the largest compartment. The T-Locker operator site publishes small, medium and large dimensions. The city overview prints a different size table. Since the two tables conflict, measure your bag and compare it with the instructions posted on the actual locker at your station. Skip estimates based on suitcase size in inches.

The city page shows that new and older locker systems at different stations can follow different user instructions. Read the panel at the machine you'll use.

How each service works

T-Locker (hourly, self-service). According to the T-Locker operator, walk-up use gives QR access with a one-time password. Reserved storage is app-only, and you can reserve up to two hours ahead. You pay the base fee at drop-off and may owe an additional fee at collection. The site describes identity verification and an email recovery process for a locker that seems to vanish after you change device or browser. Storage and retrieval are limited to subway operating hours, and the city page states that lockers can't be used outside the specified access hours. Confirm the late-collection and recovery terms for your locker before you leave a bag.

T-Luggage (storage and delivery). The T-Luggage official site runs an English reservation flow with service, how-to-use, centers and rates sections, reservation lookup and a center finder. The homepage alone doesn't establish item eligibility, the language of any assistance, airport cutoffs, next-day retrieval, capacity or insurance. Read those terms inside the booking before you pay.

T-Storage (monthly). This product covers longer stays and falls outside a one-day plan. Its section on the city page lists prohibited categories, including cash and valuables, explosives and flammables, weapons, animals and plants, and medicines. That list applies to monthly storage only. Ask the relevant operator about restrictions for the product you book.

A small decision matrix

Plan the route, then the shopping

Pick your storage station first and build shopping stops around it, so you can walk back before closing. If a pharmacy is on your list, PVRE Pharmacy appears on its official listing as PURE PHARMACY, with a Myeongdong store at 서울특별시 중구 명동8길 41 and other branches in Seongsu and Jeju. The operator describes its pharmacies as places for a general conversation with a pharmacist about medicines and health. That conversation is separate from luggage, customs, tax or aviation questions. Direct those to the storage operator, your airline or the relevant government authority. The store listing doesn't cover hours, storage partnerships or stock, so check those details elsewhere.

Before you leave the bag, screenshot your QR code, one-time password or reservation number. Note the station exit and locker bank, and confirm the retrieval hours. For a center booking, save the lookup reference from the T-Luggage site.

Evidence and criteria

  • The three-product split, access-hour limits, instruction differences and monthly prohibited list come from the Seoul Metropolitan Government, retrieved 30 October 2026. Its headings contain apparent labeling inconsistencies between T-Luggage and T-Storage.
  • The T-Locker QR/OTP access, app reservations, two-hour window, two-stage fee, ID and recovery details come from the operator site, retrieved 30 October 2026. Its size table conflicts with the city's table.
  • The T-Luggage reservation, center finder and lookup features come from its official site. Delivery cutoffs and guarantees aren't established there.
  • Rates, current availability, reservation capacity and late-collection outcomes aren't stated here. Confirm them with the provider.
  • The matrix is editorial organization and doesn't constitute operator policy.
